Registration for Fall 2024 LEARN TO SKATE is now open!

FALL  DATES: September 28 – November 16 (No Lesson Nov 9)
LOCATION: Highland Ice Arena (St. Paul)
LESSON TIMES: 10 – 11:20 am, 10:45- 12:05 pm, 11:30-12:50 pm
(Note: Your exact lesson time will be assigned by September 26)
AGE: Our lessons are open to everyone ages 4+ from Black and Brown communities, including adults, regardless of previous skating experience.
EQUIPMENT: Complimentary Skates and Helmets are available to borrow. We encourage you to bring your own if you have them. If you’re interested in purchasing skates, we recommend Strauss Skates – see information in right sidebar.

This is a 7-week program that teaches basic skating skills. Skaters should plan to participate in all lessons. The skills taught for this session are cumulative and missed lessons may impact the progression of the participant.

For all youth participants, a parent/guardian must remain on-site during lessons.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION
We invite you to use the form below to register Youth and Adult skaters.  Youth is defined as 4 years and older up to age 18 years on September 1, 2024. Adult is defined as a skater who is age 18 or older on September 1, 2024.

You will need to complete this form for every skater you are registering. If you are registering multiple skaters you will need to complete this form multiple times.

Once registration is complete, keep an eye out for an email from lts@brownbody.org. That is where all communication will come from throughout the session. Please note that email is Brownbody’s primary method of communication with participants.

SCALED PAYMENT STRUCTURE
As our Learn to Skate program continues to grow due to high demand and interest, we are working to make the program sustainable so that we may offer it for years to come. In this spirit, we offer a scaled pay structure for lessons.

As always, we remain committed to removing financial barriers to participation so scholarships are available for those that require a no-fee Learn to Skate experience. We simply ask that you send us an email (lts@brownbody.org) to alert us to this request.
